Process and PaymentS
To send you freewheeling to a surprise destination, we have you purchase your surprise flight ahead of time. The cost of your surprise flight is based on where you’d like to go. Cost varies depending on if you’d like to visit somewhere within the USA or international and if you’d like to fly First/Business Class or Economy Class. The per person cost of surprise flights ranges from $500 to $2400.
The cost of the surprise flight includes the cost of your flight + taxes + fees + our time. We use our time to research, to customize our freewheeling flights based on your individual preferences and experiences, and to provide your surprise wrapped up neatly with some options for lodging, dining, and fun things to do in the area!
To get your surprise, you simply pick your desired flight type in our store, fill out the required form when you check out, and then look for our emails. Once we connect, we review your travel goals and budget, do the research, choose a surprise destination and book your flights.
We’ll send you a confirmation code from the airline and details on when your flight departs. This allows you to review your surprise at any time. (We recommend you wait until the day of travel, but the timing is technically up to you!)
We’ll deliver the surprise flight info in a summary document on the day of your trip! When you get to the airport, review the document as it will include not only flight details but also suggestions for the best lodging options, good bites, and nearby adventures to choose from. ***

You book your own lodging and activities once you find out your surprise destination. In this way, you choose your own adventure, living in the scramble of the moment once you get your surprise flights! Trust us, it’s fun.
How will we get there?
Transportation Options
We’ll book you a flight to your surprise destination. If you’re opposed to flying, your budget doesn’t have space for flights, or you’d simply like to try something new, there are lots of other ways to go on an adventure (ie. train, buses, stay-cations). Let us know if you don’t want to fly, but still want to feel the thrill of freewheeling, we’ll figure something out!

The FREEWHEEL FLIGHT DOC delivers your surprise flight details, and includes custom recommendations for lodging, dining, and activities. Along with the details on your flights, it includes photos and links to things we think you won’t want to miss while you’re freewheeling!
Please note, we will recommend a few great places to stay that we think will fit in your budget, but we DO NOT BOOK YOUR LODGING.***

2. Good sleep is key to enjoying the days. You know best where you’ll be able to rest.

How will we get around while we’re there?
Rental Car, Bikes, Public Transportation
Many freewheelers like to play this part by ear — depending on where they end up, they may take rideshare/taxi, public transportation, walk, or rent a bike.
That being said, sometimes it’s nice to have the assurance of a decently priced rental car ready for you when you land! If you’d like, we can make a reservation for you and include it in your FREEWHEEL FLIGHT DOC at no extra cost. You’ll pay when you pick up the car at the agency.
Where will we sleep?
Lodging
We’ll send you some suggestions in your FREEWHEEL FLIGHT DOC, but you get to book your own lodging*** as soon as you get your surprise destination!

What will we do?
Activity and Relaxation
You get to find your flow of activity and relaxation on your own once you’re on your way. Based on info you give us, we will have plenty of ideas about things you might enjoy near your destination! We hope that you feel free to make decisions in the moment, traveling freely and enjoying the ride. That being said, your FREEWHEEL FLIGHT DOC will have plenty of customized suggestions from our well-traveled team!
Can my kid freewheel too?

Yes! What better way to bond with your kiddos than to experience some surprise and explore new places together?! Let us know if you’re planning to bring anyone under the age of 18 on your freewheeling adventure so we can tailor our recommendations to be fun for everyone.
Can I get a hint?

“Degree of Surprise”
Some people prefer the element of TOTAL surprise and want their surprise destination on the day of departure.
If that’s not you, let us know, we can deliver your surprise doc at any time you’re comfortable with.
(Either way, once we book your flights, you’ll always have your airline confirmation code. This means you can technically look up your flight at ANY TIME)
Another option if you’d like the actual destination to be a last minute surprise, but want to know what to pack, we can give you a hint at any point. We can tell you what activities or weather you might find at your surprise destination and let you know if you need to pack a parka or sandals.
Can I tell you where I do not want to go?
Location Preferences & Your “DO Not Fly List”
We understand that there are some places you simply cannot or will not visit. Whether it be for spiritual reasons, personal safety, or because you’ve already been there a million times, we absolutely respect your wishes to avoid certain places. We’ll ask you for a list of specific places you don’t want to go before we book anything.
